On a friends T7 this is what I found. It is a 99 9-5 low pressure turbo set up. When I adjusted the boost up we got two good runs before the control unit shut us down to almost no boost. The check engine light came on with a code for APC( boost pressure control valve). Cleared the code and the same thing. I was able to increase boost a very slight amount with a bleeder valve in line with the waste gate. The max boost KPA level went from about 150 kpa to 180 kpa I guestimate this increase in PSI to be from around 7 psi to about 11 psi. Next he purchased an aero control unit and unmodified it ran the same but I was able to increase total boost with adjustments to finally reach just over 220 KPA which should convert to about 18psi. Were still adjusting it but so far it's not leaning out.
