I have used mobil 1 for 20 years in all my cars. I have a 86 9000 turbo which I purchased 10 years ago with 137000mi. This car now has over 400000mi this car has not had 5 gear for 4yrs and regularly runs on the highway between 4k - 5k RPM for hours. The only wear that I believe has occured is from this motor running low on oil from oil leaks. I keep thinking this motor will come loose any day from the abuse but it keeps going strong with only one turbo replaced in over 300000mi. I don't know how an oil could be any better.
