With all options on my SDS, I spent ~C$2300. That's including taxes and an extra crank sensor. Originally I was going to mount two, for redundancy, but then the machinist f*cked up the magnet mounting points on the crank pulley, so I left it. The sensor isn't cheap, C$140 or thereabouts. With the exchange rate, you get a decent deal with SDS.

I've fully documented my install, as much as possible, so I think it will help other c900 installs in the future. Mapping is not as easy as using a laptop though, and there is no data logging - but it's cheap, simple and gets the job done.

Bonus for me is that SDS is built in Canada, in fact just in Calgary, only 3 hours away from me. Email responses are excellent from Ross and his crew - sameday unless on weekends. There is also an SDS forum and I've gotten good help from there too.

Install - well, I took forever doing it. But I think I have a pretty neat install, it looks pretty slick and stock-ish. Not many, if any, wires all over the place. And a lot of time was spent just conceptualising things too. I also had to fabricate a crank sensor mount, but this was relatively simple. Mounting the magnets for the crank sensor on the flywheel obviously necessitated it coming off the car, but then I had the whole engine out so it wasn't a big deal.

There are limitations to the SDS, but for me it was the best choice.
