Alright, that is what I figured, actually. But, I hoped it would be that easy. So, I now have 3 possible solutions, and would appreciate any further input from you guys. BTW, I am not a fan of TCS, I prefer my own judgement. If it were more of than just throttle control, like the stability control available on many cars today, it might be worth it, but I am capable of keeping traction better than a computer, usually.

The first solution, probably the easiest, is to keep the existing system and do the necessary small modifications necessary to run the 2.3L. First, I could use my old 2.0L TB (and intake manifold, if necessary) and computer/amm/etc. along with some bigger injectors and maybe RRFPR to make sure the 2.3 does not run lean. It also may be possible to get some chip tuning done for this system.

My only question about this is: are there any major benefits to running the 2.4.2 system over the 2.4? Is the AMM physically bigger in diameter? How about the TB (bigger, etc.?) Is the engine management better for some reason?

The second option is to purchase the '92 wiring harness, computer, and AMM and swap this in. Like I said, I am not in favor of TCS, so it might be nice to have this permanently disabled. This adds a bit of cost, but I can probably get this all from the same source where the engine is coming from, at minimal extra expense.

Ok, the last option is to either buy a '91 harness, computer, AMM, and TB, and keep the existing DI, or upgrade to a full Trionic from a '93. This starts to add a bit more cost than I really want in this little project, considering the SuperSaab is now 12 years old and not worth a whole lot of extra money. I am trying to keep this thing on a reasonable budget.

Ok, long post, but hopefully someone can give some advice. I am hoping to do this whole thing quickly without too much guess work, and when it is underway I will probably document it and make a web page later. Man, all this started when I blew the '90 tranny and after finding no replacements, thought...what if I upgrade to a 2.3L drivetrain?.....
