Yes I am with George's Imports in Knasas City. To deal with freezing tempatures we us washer fluid with a methonal base as the liquid we inject.
The fact that the outside temp is about 32F does not keep the air that is intering the engine from being to warm when run hard. The other fact that you only have 91 octane tring to make 270 to 300hp out of a 2.3 liter engine is like eating a rotten apple every morning for breakfest. Water injection will cool the combustion chamber to prevent detonation and retard the flame front during combustion simularly to higher octane fuel.
I would like the option to visit with you about when your problem occurs to make sure that detonation is the cause.
