Mike, I'm in the process of literally rebuilding my '89 Posted by MJM [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: thanks! You won't be disappointed with the turbo, WASSAAB, Wed, 15 Jan 2003 22:36:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
SPG from the bottom up. I recently replaced the entire suspension (ball joints, bearings, A-arms, axle, Koni shocks, Kilen springs, SAS rear sway bar, etc.) upgraded to a 9000T front brake system, stainless steel brakelines, polyurethane bushings for upper/lower control arms, shocks, and steering rack (also a new rack).
In terms of performance mods I have the APC upgrade, Viggen BOV, magnecore wires, K&N air filter, and short-shifter (getting Brad's 30# injector and AMM resistor mod and downpipe when available). Things that I have but have yet to install (two jobs doesn't lend itself to having much free time) are a custom-made Spearco intercooler (1100 cfm!)and 2C aquamist system w/accumulator. I recently ordered a 4-speed transmission w/LSD from GM and plan on having Lesco do an engine rebuild later this spring (trying to time the engine rebuild with the arrival of tranny).
I also recently replaced the interior by way of new carpet, Recaro Sport leather seats, Momo steering wheel, indiglo instrument gauges, and Phantom series volt, boost, and oil temp cluster gauges (eGauges.com).
Finally, I also need to toss on my Super Aero wheels with the Bridgestone S-03s and Saab whaletail. Yes, right now my living room is decorated in contemporary Saab but that will change when I get some time on my hands.
Btw, your comments on this board were instrumental in my decision to go with the TE-05 16G and Texas Monster bearing upgrade so I thank you for your previous posts.
Mike
