Taylor, yes the Recaros are extremely nice seats... Posted by MJM [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: I truly think that it will be a quite respectable SPG.., Taylor, Thu, 16 Jan 2003 01:07:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
and well worth the money in my opinion. The picture that was posted of Gary's seats in his SPG (I believe it was on Dave N.'s site as well as here) really made the decision to purchase them easy to make. So nice when you can see what something would look like in your car before you slap down the money.
The price of the TE-05 Big 16G compressor wheel (unclipped) w/Texas Monster thrust bearing was $845 (plus $25 shipping) and is expected to take 3 - 4 weeks to produce and deliver. I decided to go with the Mitsubishi turbo for a number of reasons but primarily due to the more efficient wastegate design when compared with the Garrett. I'm greatly looking forward to adding Brad's downpipe, too.
As for short-term projects besides the 4-speed tranny w/LSD, I plan on having Lesco do a short-block engine rebuild and perhaps go with a ported and polished 2.0 cylinder head from SD. A long-term project will most likely be Brad's extra injector set-up.
All of this will come with time (and the obligatory funds) but right now I am content to have the entire suspension/interior in order.
On another note, I imagine that you will do quite well at SOC '03. 'Griffin' be lookin' good!
Best of luck scoring some Viggen seats.
Mike
