I have the SD disc in my 95 Aero with the SQR stage 4 306 hp kit. My stock, original 75K pressure plate had some heat cracks upon inspection. I would have gone with the Sacchs unit had I known I would be spending almost as much replacing the pressure plate, SD kevlar disc, and associated parts as just going with the Sacchs unit. But we were in there, and the Sacchs unit would have kept the car down for another week or so.
I can tell you that the disc does hold VERY well. You can hear it GRAB when shifting hard and high boost. I have been abusing it with no problems, so far....
I also purchased an Eriksson transmission for $1400. When you get this box, put the NEW Saab Synthetic transmission fluid in the tranny. This what comes in the new transmission when purchased directly from Saab.
Don't bypass replacing the master cylinder when you are in there. They are prone to failure.
Gary, at SW, warranteed the disc for a year knowing what kind of power I would be putting to the clutch.
Regards,
George
