Must be over 300 torque foot pounds of torque and using the 228mm kevlar lining and kit pressure plate. SD put a 4 percent copper fill into the disc to help with hold.
I got into trouble years ago when I put in a sachs sport pressure plate which was prob. 30-40% of a higher rate than the stock pp. Any time you increase the spring finger rate on a pressure plate, it is more force working against the engine thrust bearing when the clutch is disengaged.
Since I used the car for daily driving, it saw alot of use and I wound up having engine problems every few years. During rebuild, I could see the thrust bearing was turned into garbage and couldn't figure out the reason until I heard of others having problems with the high rate pp.
The SD clutch was put in 4 years ago and uses the standard pressure plate with a better disc and would be my choice for street.
Left the high rate pp on my race car that I rebuild yearly.
