The T7 computer will handle most pump gas by adjustig boost pressure and timing to accommodate the lower octane fuels. Using the higher octane premium pump gas allows your T7 to let the engine run at it's best, or rated hp and torque. There was a recent article in road and track about octane ratings and one of their test cars was a 9-5 Aero. The car ran fine on 89 octane gas, but lost 10% wheel hp and torque as compared to premium grades. Mileage seemed to be unaffected.

So, if you want the most performance out of your car, use the best premium gas available in your area. Since you have a 93 SS, I'm going to assume that you want ALL it's rated power.
