My own experience with a Viggen is that the two biggest factors in road induced steering are alignment and tires. Different tires respond differently. Clearly wider tires make for more road induced steering. Some brands seem less affected, however. When I had Dunlop 2000's they weren't great. The Michlins were not great. Both were much better after I reset the toe at 0 - minus .5mm. What made the most difference was a switch to Bridgestone RE 950s. Incredible as it reduced the effect on both ruts and road camber to almost zero. The RE 950s are for winter when occasional snow invades the area. They are 215/45/17. I just switched to 225/45/17 Bridgestone SO 3s on 17 x 8 rims. Being wider I notice a small increase in road induced steer, but still less than either the Dunlops or the Michlins. Hope this helps.
