Benifits can be measured in differant ways so let do it that way.
The benifit of doing this over the boost controller is that you gain more power and still retain your the protection of your ecu to prevent engine damage. The boost controller over-rides this function and lead to engine damage. Simply this is a safer way for performance then a boost controller.
Performance wise the boost controller is limited by the fuel cut off at 15 psi so the most you could get out of your boost controller is 14.5psi. I really do not want to assign hp number to the boost controller because it would only be speculation. The map/injector route will give you 21psi with a stock ecu and 30psi with a upgraded ecu. I think its pretty simple to see what has the greatest potential here.
