When I first drove it after doing the timing it felt like a different car. I now run all stock except for the air filter and I am very satisfied. I get good gas milage and fun driving without the worry of tearing up my aging but invaluable car.
Soon major repairs will take place b/c the steering rack is dying. In additiong to replacing the rack I will replace the '86 202k tranny that I currently have with a '92 NA tranny that was remanufactured recently. The shorter gearing will make the car feel very fast of the line and for city driving. Some folks have experessed concerns about mgp and top speed. The latter I could care less about but the mpg decrease may have to be offset with an ignition system.
Thus far most of my mods have been suspension. I just wanted for the car to handle the power it ALREADY has from the factory.
What do you think?
