Undamaged Bosch BPVs will hoot and toot with a MBC. This happens right around the tansistion from vacuum to boost. The boost is comming on much faster and the pressure to close the valve lags because of the long vac line and small orifice in the TB. This has been seen again and again. The valve is occilating. Washing with detergent to remove the oil helps quite a bit... until oil migrates in there again.
The piston in the TurboXS unit is quite long and the fit is very 'tight'. There will be a very very small leak past the piston to the vac line, but this is tiny and has no effect at all. Don't think in absolutes. If simply does not matter.
During a shift where the engine has rpm's well above idle, this is called an over run situation, at least by some. This will generate a low vacuum with a conventional throttle. But with the T7's, perhaps not.
