Hey Matt,

From you mod list, your car is plenty fast right now! Kudos for mixing in equal parts of handling and
power mods, especially the relatively big (for a Saab) 225 rubber. You don't specifically list
springs and shocks...are you running stock susp?

If you have any interest in becoming a driver and learning how to wring out the most from your beast, I
STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to attend a performance and/or race driving school. There are others here
that race and/or attend schools on a regular basis, I’m sure they would agree: the driver is the weakest link
in the performance chain, and any improvement you can make at the driver level is bigger than mods you
can make to your car. That’s also why I’d kick your butt around Laguna Seca even if I had to drive my
woman’s ’94 Civic DX and you had your ng900. (This statement just in case you respond well to threats
upon your manhood).

I’m at a loss to provide you with logistical details of how to get to a race track. In NorCal there are plenty
of tracks to hit - I'm not sure where you could go to since you are kind of 'out there' in Colorado. I’m sure
that there is something within 1 day’s drive.

A side benefit of track work is that you will find out what your car REALLY needs...you won't have to ask.
If you spend a day at the track and your brakes are smoking, burned up and charred, guess what? You don't
need that new metal matrix chassis stiffener that SaabSpanker is selling for $450. You need uprated brake
system components, or maybe a completely upgraded system. It's that easy.

This is turning into more a rant than an answer! Sorry for that! It's just that lately there seems to be a run
of people wrecking their souped-up Saabs and hurting or killing themselves!

For my TBTC smoothing, I found that the 2" drum sander that Sears sells works great. It is a simple piece
that fits any drill chuck. The large diameter makes it easy to get great results quickly without risk of
gouging the soft aluminum.

Damien
PS – I have no affiliation with SaabSpanker or their products. I just made that name up so I wouldn’t
incriminate any real businesses that sell lame products.
