Here are two ideas for your trunk floor. First one is easy but more expensive. Try http://www.mcmastercarr.com . They sell a variety of honeycomb/laminate panels that are quite light and stiff. Actually a great place for all kinds of hard to find bits.
If you are up for a small project try this. Go to Home Depot or similar and buy foil faced foam insulation (1/2" thick should be fine). Then if your Home Depot carries fiberglass fabric and resin pick some up. If not go to Pep Boys or similar. Read the directions, and apply two layers of fiberglass to each face, one at a time. (make sure foil is cleaned with a solvent first). Use a rubber squeegee or similar to remove excess resin/air pockets). Cut with tungsten carbide grit jig saw blade and you'll be all set.
Good luck.
