I went Viggen myself. Mind you, I was not on the market for an Aero wagon, but I did consider the 9-5 Aero sedan as an option. However, the Viggen appealed more to me mainly because I'm not in need of much space, so a smaller car is a plus for my purposes. Plus, there are the intangibles that come with a Viggen, like the shocking performance once out of first gear... Yeah, in my opinion the 1st gear on the Viggen is a problem, too short, but aside from the, it has the characteristics of a real fun car. The bone jarring suspension is a major complaint of alot of people, but personally, I love it (save for the annoying rattles, especially one from the rear right corner of the car!). I think the tight ride keeps me more in tune with the road, and with the car in general.

Plus, as others mentioned, there is the exclusivity of owning a Viggen. THere are only about 200 Viggens in all of Canada (all model years and trims), and only about 50 5-doors. I have yet to see another lightning blue 5-door in the Toronto area, although I have tracked down 2 other Viggen owners (one silver '02, and a black '01).

I got my Viggen used, but the guy I bought it from turned around and bought an Aero wagon after he sold me the Viggen.... Why? Cause he had a 3rd kid on the way ;)

I guess Aero and Viggen owners are from the same mold!

Cheers,

Adam
