I've run my SPG with and without the JetHot coating, and for what it is
(thin ceramic layer of insulation) it works great! The underhood temps
really are lower, you can see it and feel it. It is not as if you can go
and put your hand on the turbo, but it is easier to work around the hot
engine.
I do not have any measurements regarding performance. But as Dean alludes to,
more heat in the exhaust gas flow means more gas velocity and more power from
the turbo.
This pic shows the parts that I had coated inside & out: exh manifold,
turbine housing, and downpipe. I chose the 2000F flat gray (they also have
flat blue and flat black), and I've found it to be very durable.
