5th Injector install

Installed 5th injector - doesn't affect performance.
Car: '89 900T, tweaked APC, 7 psi BB, no AMM screens, 3.0 FPR, no flap in exh manifold, timing @ 20* static to 12* max ret, very heavy right foot.
Injector is ~12 lb/hr (measured) CIS cold start, mounted at IC, perpindicular to flow. Trigger @ 12 psi w/Saab pressure switch; also have a "master" switch.
Yes, injector works; that is, gasoline sprays out -- I didn't muck up the wiring.
Turning the injector on makes no difference either at WOT/high boost or steady-state driving (I at least expected the tach to rise for a quick moment before ECU compensated; didn't happen).
I turned it on a few times at idle -- it stalls or nearly stalls the car but Jetronic adjusts without giving me a CEL (kinda cool how much the ECU can compensate to the extra gas). Seems to drop boost when manually turned on @ WOT.
What's the problem? Insertion angle? Extremely poor atomization? Too much boost? I've got APC limiting it @ 17 psi for now.
Before testing, was feeling pretty smug about tidy little $5 nearly bolt-on mod; now feeling like a bit of an idiot. Shame on me for buying into 'net claims of big gains w/5th injector.
In theory: @ WOT, should be getting ~26 lb/hr from this set-up -- pretty close to 30# injectors w/2.5 FPR.
In practice: No improvement.
Thx...
