I haven't owned 4's but I hafe owned Pirelli p7000SS (ultra high performance M+S). They look like the same basic thing, a high performance tire, with a few torque sypes added. I'm sure the compound is a little different to deal with the colder temps...

But the p7000 were completely worhtless in the snow. Like forget trying to get up mild hills, just leave the car parked worthless....

I then went to kumho 712's in the summer and gislaved nordfrost II for the winter. This worked well, but the winter dry traction was lacking...

Now I run so-3 in the summer and nokian wr's in the winter. The wr's are MUCH better than the gislaved's for dry traction but are just as good in deep snow. In fact total traction isn't that bad 90% off the time vs so-3's(rarely approached their grip limits during daily driving), rather it's road feel that suffers the most. The ride is alot gentler with the wr's even though sidewall is the same.

Bottom line is that I don't think the toyo's will handle serious snow...

BTW Car is 92 9kt, koni's and kilens, so-3's 225/50 on 15x7's wr's 195/60 on 15x7's.
