yup Im gona do my notch RWD Posted by jak [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: 900 turbo to RWD...possible?, partsmanager, Sun, 15 Feb 2004 18:05:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I think 4wd is too much work but mabey an IRS RWD setup from a nissan Z & mabey the trans as well
I hear you can pick up the newgen 2.0s pretty cheap & it would just be a matter of fabbing an adapter plate & mabey a flywheel spacer
the front lower controll arms might be used to suport a strut setup with like a ford mustang steering rack in the front to clear room against the firewall to make a tunnel for the trans & driveline
in the rear the gas tank would have to be removed & a lightweight but strong suport for the rear suspencion & diff most of which I see are kinda modular meaning you can unbolt the whole thing from the doner car
anyway as soon as I get my shop built here on my property & get the fresh motor in my SPG the notch is coming apart
I plan it to be a verry striped down car just 2 racing seats in front with a home made dash mabey aluminum diamond plate & if it has heat it wont be anything like the stock setup verry plain on the outside mellow paint job but verry light & some serious HP this would be a muscle car killer hopefuly with some decent handling too
take care
JAK
