I installed these Mid October. I had expected these to be quite dark. They were very clean! A smokey white color, no deposits visable, just slight discoloration. The only thing that is not representative is that I am 1/2 way through a tank with .5 gallon of toluene and xylene to go from 92 octane to 93. (I have not done that for months.) But I doubt that that would clean plugs.

See the LiNk. Some plugs have the ground electrode 'cut' to reduce the quenching effect of electrode. Taking off the corners will also make the electrode run slightly cooler by reducing the area/volume ratio. So for what it is worth I took the dremel with a thin cutoff abrasive disk and chopped off the corners. I made the end more round than just as in the link's picture and blended off some of the external corners a bit too near the end. From a visual point of view, the electrode does look more exposed. Cutting the corners of will create burrs, depending on how you go at it. The abrasive wheel is thinner than the spark gap, so you can carefully get it in the gap and with the side of the wheel, dress the electrode to clear off any burrs.

Make any difference? Hard to tell, but perhaps the power is smoother, less torque pulsing at full boost and lower RPMs.

As always, when pulling the plugs, blow the plug wells free of sand and dirst first. I also use the small blow pipe tip on the air hose to blow out the plugs electrode cavity. Something you really need to do if you are grinding the electrode.
