it appears as though runnig the ES has reduced pre ignition in my car this kinda makes sense for me as the center electrode is larger in diameter & less likeley to glow & pre ignite fuel
I will say also that my EVs were set at .026 & I set the ES at .024
anytime Ive looked at EVs in my car they are a lil fuzzy at the end of the center electrode & I think this is because of heat hopefuly others will chime in with their opinions I think the EV is a better overall plug & in lower HP aplications is good
but like I typed before Dr Jacobs the designer of ignition systems for the big 3 here in the US stated a softer plug allows more molicules to be riped from the center electrode (conv ign) per spark resulting in more colision with fuel molicules starting combustion a lil better he perticularly advised using soft plugs (ES arent super soft not like champions) in older engines
