I understand the 5,6 and 7 ratings on plugs. Some are hot, some not. I was referring to what you refer to one having a point(ev) and the other that looks like a regular "old" sparkplug (es). I read that since the tip is wider that it will disperse heat even quicker then the ev's. It also will produce a fatter spark??? I know that S.D. compared them on a dyno and found that the es's produced more HP. I just can't seem to get rid of the ev's because each time I take them out, they still look almost new. You should see the electrodes on my viper. The things are about a 1\2 on an inch long.
