No, I'm just kidding. I know what you mean and admit after I pinched the hose and the rpm dropped I pretty well zero'd in on it as the root cause.
The idle is low enough where pinching the small vacuum line to the PCV can stall the engine. 850 rpm was a guess as the tach on the dash isn't all that precise at lower RPM and that's the only tach I have, no cool timing lights or anytyhing.
I'm still stumped. I spent another 3 hours searching for a vacuum leak and cannot find one. I went so far as to attach the AMM directly to the throttle body to eliminate all the turbo ducting. I've sprayed a whole can or carb cleaner on the manifold to head gasket, the injectors, the TB and nothing affects the idle. A small shot to an open vacuum port will stall the engine. I'm out of idea's and about an inch away from pulling the manifold off for lack of a better idea. I have thought about grabbing another ECU from the yard as they have been selling me parts so cheap just to swap and see what happens. Any other tricks to finding vacuum leaks would be appreciated. Thanks again guys for the help. I'm sure people are getting annoyed with this one but trust me no one is more PO'ed than me right now. If I didn't have so much money into that thing I'd pull the plates and leave it in a ditch somewhere.
BTW my ignition amp died this morning. Running last night, no spark this morning. Popped in a different one and fired right up.
