NG900 MBC Boosting problems Posted by SLAAB [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I have a NG900 with JoeP XZ MBC installed as SMBC (SMBC between turbo compressor & BPC) and a Maptun ECU.
In 1st and 2nd gears, boost maxes out at 17 psi.
In 3rd gear, boost rises to 22psi and then the BOV opens and I lose boost.
Prior to installation of the SMBC, I was seeing about 10psi in 1st and 2nd and 17psi (with a spike to 21psi) in 3rd and beyond.
Do I need to worry? Should I back off the MBC? Or should I put a stronger spring in the BOV?
