A MBC used in SMBC must have its bleed orifice blocked off.
You have the MBC set up quite hard for a SMBC intent. You could just do a MBC. But what you have done has some merit as the boost in the first two gears is reduced.
If you can't maintain tire traction in 2nd gear, then I would definately reduce the pressure. You need to be able to do WOT runs in 2nd gear.
The turbo is quite small and as it gets pushed hard, it is producing a lot of heat. At some point the Viggen IC might not be enough to compensate for that. Maybe the BOV is doing you favour and perhaps you should not be pushing that hard. Do you have an AF meter? Watch your plugs too. Use BCPR7ESii's and reduce the gap to compensate for the increase in spark gap breakdown voltage that occurs with higher boost. You may be approaching some octane limits too. I do not know at what point the the stock clutch gets overloaded, I - note that you have an performance clutch. Some who have gone after these higher pressures have used water injection to maintain safe combustion chamber temperatures.
With the air flows that you are achieving, I feel that the funnel mod is definately not enough. A 3" duct mod with a proper end transition would be better.
You could install a shutoff valve in the TB coolant loop for non-winter seasonal shutoff. That would remove one, perhaps minor, source of heat.
Did you do your own head P&P? What were your inpressions of what that did?
