Thanks, I want the SMBC to promote a faster boost rise and increase boost in the first 2 gears. BUT I still want the BPC and ECU to control max boost in top 3 gears.

It seems to be working in the first 2 gears as 17psi is achieved, but for some reason, I'm getting too high boost in the top 3 gears. If the MBC is releasing pressure at 17psi, then why does the ECU/BPC allow 22psi in higher gears?

Shouldn't the released pressure from the MBC be reaching the BPC?

And shouldn't the BPC be open to pressurize the wastegate given that the ECU is reading the high pressure from the MAP sensor?

Surely there is sufficient time between the 17-22psi boost rise for the wastegate to actuate?

Additional Info:

Water injection is a good idea, but I'm looking for more responsiveness rather than absolute power. I'm looking at 3" mandrel bent tubing to a cone intake behind the bumper as my next mod.

A/F shows rich at WOT.

BCPR7ES gapped to .036

93 Octane

The bleed orifice on the MBC is blocked with JB Weld.

I have no problems with WOT traction in 2nd gear (Bridgestone S-03s, B+G springs, Bilstein HDs, SAS swaybar).

In testing max boost levels, I shift into gear as normal at low rpm. Then I use WOT to run up RPMs and boost.

The head Port and Polish was done at a machine shop when I had to replace my headgasket. Not a 3-angle job, just smoothing out the castings. My buttdyno says the engine is smoother and more responsive... but reality might be different.
