The knock sensor wouldn't have issues picking up drivetrain noise, clutch rattle, lifter noise, timing chain or the like because its designed to ignore these lower level frequencies. The problem with this is that it lets some low level detonation to occur, once its gets bad enough it turns down power. I REPEAT AGAIN, MILD DETONATION MAY ALREADY BE OCCURING
