I would rely on your best judgement. Personally, I never like to buy cars that are already modified, so I just skip over those ads - reason being, that I like to do everything myself so that I know it's done right, and so that I'm comfortable with the parts that are installed in my car. But that's just the way I think about it.

Also, the suspicion would be that seeing a car highly modified in its ad, would lead the potential buyer to believe that you "beat on it" or race it frequently. Often not the case, but a logical thought.

Both are considerations... weigh them against the time and effort it would take you to "undo" everything and potential problems you might run into while reverting.
