Hi Tim, I'll look at an oil filter adapter when I'm at our shop today and see where the sending unit is in relation to the filtered oil vs the non-filtered oil. If the pressure is read from what's actually after the filter then a plugged filter would in fact cause low oil pressure. If you haven't thrown the bad filter away it would be a good idea to cut it open to see what caused the problem. This is standard procedure for an aircraft engine and something we always do in any performance application. We have a special tool made for Cummins diesel engines for doing this. It's just that bead blasted valve covers scare the hell out of me because of how related they are to low oil pressure problems. Either way you lucked out on this one but it would still be nice to know what happened. Dave
