to mod or not to mod?

hello all.
here is my issue: i have a 900set talladega edition, 5 spd, with just over 50k miles on it. i also have an extended warranty to 100,000 miles (or 2.5 years, whichever comes first). i love the car, it's obviously fast and great-looking and very practical, but i just can't leave it alone. i want more in terms of performance. right now the car is bone stock and i'd like to upgrade the wheels, ecu, suspension, handling and exhaust. i know this takes considerable effort (i.e. ordering parts from the UK or sweden) and considerable costs. would it make more sense to spend the (approx.) 6,000 it would take to upgrade my 97 on a new saab, i.e. a pre-tuned one such as those offered by Nordic (wigwam) or a stock viggen? are there other tuning operations that sell complete cars besides nordic? or are these cars overpriced? what would be the most sensible first upgrade to make if i were to stick with my 97? thanks in advance/happy saabing.
ps has anyone ever driven an s4? what was it like? just wondering because i don't see too many of them.
