Hey AeroTim, I have a 03 9-5 Aero auto tranny that I have been asking about these very upgrades. My question to you is how do you know that your car is happier with the new 3"downpipe over stock and did you get a sportcat or racecat? Did you have your car dyno'd to see the A/F ratios along the rpm range?
I personally wanted to get the Saab Remus exhaust because I've heard it but after finding out that its really only 2.25" I don't think I will.
The mods I want to do are a complete exhaust 3"downpipe with sportcat and full catback exhaust along with the JR airfilter and the Taliaferro Inlet pipe. I think I will be going with the Nordic software from Taliaferro also. Any suggestions guys on a 3" exhaust that's not too loud but sounds real nice? I have been told to just do a stage 2 since I won't see much more in torque gains for my Auto Tranny car since its limited. However like Jak says is what I thought. By doing the inlet pipe and a complete 3" downpipe I will keep EGT temps down longer and "safer" so boost will last longer and also reduce any chance of detonation. Just my thoughts guys and I appreciate your input.
