Marty (my mechanic) didn't want any lag, so he put on this supercharger he had from an older T-bird. First issue he had was that the pulley wasn't sized correctly - so he wasn't boosting enough. Fixed that with another, bigger pulley to change the ratio.
Then he blew a piston apart (normal 9:1 CR). Okay, so then he put in pre APC pistons, which came out to a CR of about 7.7:1 or something like that, supposed to be 7.1:1, but with the 16v head, it went to 7.7:1. Then the next ice race, the blower seized. So then he said "hell with that!" and now I think he's looking for a turbo... :)
But yeah, Steve is right, just a normal B202 block with B212 head and intake manifold. Transmission is a 4 speed, shift linkage goes through a hole drilled into the front of the tranny case. Marty's a nut, master fabricator, he made my skidplate. TON of work into that ice racer of his, each time I look at it, I can't believe that he actually did it...crazy!
