If you can keep the engine, I can envision this still costing quite a few bucks -- unless the alltrac/4trac drivetrain is that well-matched. $2500 for a used '92 Corolla AWD...hmm...i might get out my Dremel after all...
- new motor mounts (I think you can fudge something from industrial supply)
- custom driveshafts for the front (machine shops can do these)
- custom bellhousing (this is a pain...unless it bolts up, highly unlikely)
- shift linkage (doh!) & new string (yay!)
- bend the downpipe (easy!) or custom one, definitely high flow cat, etc...
- the tunnel has a fair amount of space, but I think the gas tank is in the way, have to look...
The rear is the big question. It looks like it would take a bit of cutting/welding to either adapt the current beam or to adapt the new one to fit. I guess depending on which wheels you want, you might need to cobble together some sort of front hub/rotor & custom driveshaft assembly to retain the 5-bolt, and the ABS...hmmm...
...what about the parking brake? I'm getting ahead of myself...I park my car on the street in Brooklyn, by time time I get a house with space to do this, I'll be able to buy a used NG9-3 AWD...probably even a NGNG9-3...aaargh!
