Saabers, Has anyoneout there made their Sonett a bit safer. I wish for ideas such as in grafting in beams. I was really surprised that there is no beams behind the reae lights! Nothing! just plastic. Why did Saab not make this model stronger? I was interested in looking at photos of Sonetts in accidents, and did a google search. I was not overly successful, yet did find a picture that dropped my jaw. Maybe I am so use to the safety standards of my other Saabs(96s, 99,900s). Any ideas would be appreciated. I definitely will weld in a cross bar in the doors...My car is a 1972. I was also thinking of the a pillars..some strong bars there as well. Has anyone been in an accident with a Sonett,or seen photos? With all these ridiculous clumsy SUVs( I hate those vehicles) I want some type of defense! I included the link of the photo of the crash Sonett: I saw below.( scroll down to see the rear damage of the Sonett http://ourworld.cs.com/DaviesWalt/sonett2.html
