I agree, KEEP the car. It may be wise to not use it as your primary
transportation till it is 100%, but I say keep it. This is what I plan to
do with my 82 900T.

As of now, the Car needs nothing, but it is far from perfect.

To be perfect It needs (IN NO ORDER):

1. New Main seals - Drips oil when shut off up near firewall
2. New front Wheel bearings & Bearings in the final drive housing (where CV
shafts exit)
3. A thorough going over of the vacuum lines & fuel system (poor idle when
first starting on a hot day)
4. A/C overhaul
5. Cruise Control repaired
6. Master Cylinder & rebuild of all calipers (brakes work well, but dust
boots are in bad shape & pedal will sink slowly if held down for a long time
(looses pressure when holding on hills)
7. Power steering boots are looking bad, but no tears.
8. Valve adjust & Probably new timing chain, but all sounds & runs very
strong.
9. Clutch - It's been about 100K, but all is OK at this point
10. Transmission. Works great, but when below 70 degrees, 1st to second is
rough if not warmed up. It didn't do this till I changed the oil. I've
tried dino juice, semi synthetic, Full synthetic & even Tuff oil, but still
the same. This winter I'll change to Redline I think.

I'm being nitpicky about these things, and the car is 100% safe & reliable.

The Body is 99% rust free, as is the under carriage. The Interior is in
immaculate condition, as the original owner NEVER used it & my kids are only
back there occasionally.

I'd really like to retire the car completely in a few years & replace it
with a Newer 9-3 Convertible. Then I would take the car & restore it bit by
bit. I may never finish, but it would be a great labor of love.
