Just swap heads, making sure to put the turbo cams and distributor on
the non-turbo head.

16v heads are pretty tough. they don't warp unless you REALLY screwed it
up, and even then you might get away with just cutting the head flat
again.

As another pointed out, the pistons are different, and the higher
compression of the NA pistons would lead to a really premature end to
the head gasket on that one under a turbocharger's pressure.
