Idle Control Valve
Posted by terrickj (more from terrickj) on Sun, 26 Sep 1999 21:44:08
You pulled the vacuum lines going from the cam cover to the intake manifold and broke the one-way valve. Your car evidently is a turbo and this valve should be replaced so you don't pressurize the engine when the turbo is giving you boost. The AIC (automatic idle control) valve is a can mounted on top of the engine near the front of the car with two heavier hoses going to it from the intake manifold. It also has wires going to a plug on top of it. Cleaning it might help your idle problem.
