i currently own a 2003 93ss linear and love it aside from the constant electrical problems i've been having. it is currently still under warranty but only has about 7k left on it. as i said, it's been in the shop a LOT for random little things that would potentially have cost me thousands had it not been for the warranty. i was messing around on autotrader and i came across this(and kind of fell in love):
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?rdpage=thumb&car_id=177912767&dealer_id=43078408&car_year=2002&make=SAAB&distance=25&lang=en&max_price=&model=9-3&end_year=2002&min_price=&certified=&address=45501&search_type=both&advanced=&start_year=2002&isp=y&cardist=25#vdptop
this car seems to have everything i miss about my car-especially a sunroof. i love saab and everything that comes with them-but i've also read that the 93ss is pretty different from the 9-3 (such as the one up there). part of me likes the look of the hatch even more than i like the look of the ss because it is even more unique and charming in the way that saab's should be.
so, i was trying to figure out what my impression of this car would be should i test drive it-and i figured you guys would be the ones to ask.
what would be different from this car to my SS?
would i get a ton of random things going wrong with it due to electrical problems (ie. sensor malfunctions, windows stopping working, lock failure, seatbelt problems, squeaking/rattles)-or are most of these problems because i have a 03(launch year for the ss)?
finally, if you were to have the option between having a base model 2003 9-3ss and a high end 2002 93se with virutally the same(a few thousand less) amount of mileage on it-what would you do?
i just love what i see on that site and it seems like i should act somewhat quickly because the deal does seem very good.
thanks for reading-happy driving.
