ditto on that - ARC and AERO have the exact same engine. big difference is suspension and tire/rim package. The front spoiler is VERY low (i come close to scraping on my Arc).
The way i looked at it, i never buy base. so i got the arc which had the larger turbo over the linear and other upgrades. Choosing the aero would have meant a low front spoiler to eventually crack, harsher ride, greater potential to bubble a low profile tire, tire replacement costs, etc. For what?? A bit better handling (coming from a 2000 celica gts 6spd) and better side bolster on the seats??
If you like the larger footprint, save yourself a few grand and get the arc with the upgraded wheel package -same as aero sans the sideskirts, lower stance and tighter suspension.
And - isn't there still a lease incentive discount of $3,500 on top of th EE pricing?? That's what i got on my arc - $33k down to $26k with no hassle.
good luck
