Dean, thanks for the response. I figured I knew even about the SAAB and Electonics in general to follow most post but you lost me some on yours.

"The wire is to pin five of the GREY connector on the back of the radio", is this the constant or switched line?

"beneath HL A-pillar" HL? or where you typing LH as in Left Hand?

"The radio gets switched power on fuse 24 and unswitched on fuse 13. Fuse 13 will be the source of power for the satcom via the radio" On the back of the radio I assume there are two wires that represent lines from each fuse. Also does it look like power to fuse 24 is on when the key is in the Off and On position or is that dependent on the what the buss is telling the radio what to do?

I guess like Pokeyjoe, it may be a weekend with the voltmeter doing some probeing.
