All I can say is...wow! Granted, I drove to pick it up in a '91 900TC, and suddenly, the 900 feels like ancient technology (although I still love it!). I was hesitating to sell it, but I have found my new toy!
The V6 is phenomenal..smooth, torquey and sounds great. The clutch is light, transmission a tad notchy but very good in my mind. And the HANDLING is WAY, WAY better than I would ever had imagined! I took some tight turns and couldn't believe how tight it felt...reminded me of my old 2001 Miata! Well, almost...seriously though...Saab has got this car just right.
I also got XM added..too bad it doesn't integrate with the SID or the nav display, but oh well...it integrates nicely below the CD changer, so I can't complain. And it's hard wired in and sounds great. I'll be interested to see how I get used to the stereo, as I've heard mixed reviews of the 300W unit, and I think the aftermarket unit in my '91 900TC may actually sound better...BUT....
I think I may have to vote this as Saab's best car yet. I can't wait to drive it again tomorrow!
Cheers,
Paul H.
