Over the weekend I replaced the front pads on my 1999 9-3. The brake fluid reservoir was opened to allow for the expansion of the brake fluid as I compressed the piston back into the caliper. The cap was then returend to the reservior. The job went well and was easily accomplished. However, when I drove the car, the brake pedal is now very soft. It can be depressed nearly to the floor now & feels spongy. It seems to have that feeling as if there were air in the line but the brake lines were not opened. Only the cap was of the reservior was opened as naoted above. The car has been driven about 75 miles since the new pads were installed thinking that they might bed themselves in & the situation improve. However, the problem still exists. Any thought & comments & suggestions on the cause of the problem and solution are greatly appreciated.
