Hi Folks:
I'm a newbie to Saab and contemplating the 9-3 Aero SS not much a wagon fan though. Have read through this forum on all aspects of the 9-3. As we all know any Euros won't get as smooth sailing without any issues as those of the Japs. Of course ride quality is much superior in any Euro.
I currently have an 03 VW Passat 1.8T 5MT and trying to get feedback of what it is that makes Saab different from a VW. If any of you have experienced transformation from VW to Saab, I would love to hear from you. A few things that I really like about the new Aero is the V6 turbo - no one has made such an engine before. The CBC sounds interesting though a few setbacks are the flimpsy looking cupholders in front, no auto dim exterior side mirrors and the short sunvisors which wouldn't help much if you're driving along with the sun coming from your left. The sports package included with the car looks great although care should be taken when parking with concrete barrier in front. Not sure if this would be a factor during heavy snowy days - anyone experience getting stuck (although this past winter was nothing much).
Thanks for all your input and I appreciate all feedback which would help me with my decision.
Cheers!
