Well I accidentally fell into the driver's seat of my fourth Saab on Friday. I took my '00 9-3se (69K mi., 4K on the new engine) into the local dealer to get a CEL checked and walked... err drove out in a new-to-me '06 Arbor Green Aero SportCombi (13K mi.)

Since then I have dropped another 400 miles on it and I am pretty pleased with my purchase. Although it is an auto and I definately prefer the stick, I had no issues with this compromise as of yet.

The one thing that worried me after working through the sid was the terrible gas mileage displayed there; average of 13.xx. That worry was snuffed between the next two partial tanks.

With heavy saturday traffic on the highway, and terrible in town mother's day traffic, I logged 24.5 mpg over 250'ish miles. But to really put the smile on my face this evening's trek back home of 95% highway with decent speeds I averaged a fantastic 33.2 mpg over the next 150 miles with an average speed at 73mph. I wasn't hammering through traffic but I was definately not taking it easy with what seemed like an average of about 85mph.

Pretty stoked as of yet. Just thought I would share. ;)
