The boost in definitely increased in 1st and 2nd gear. It's not two notches into the red like you will see in third gear and higher on the manual trans, but it's definitely more than the stock tuning in first and second. The stock tuning of this engine makes the car quite fast in the higher gears while at highway speeds, and the BSR tuning makes the car almost scary/fast at highway speeds and definitely improves off the line response. I installed the JR filter also as recommended, but went back to the factory air filter a little while ago when I opened up the air box just to inspect the JR (looked like new yet). The jury is out on whether or not a JR or K&N drop-in air filter really improves things along with the BSR PPC. It sounds cool (intake sounds are louder than stock) and might improve turbo spool up time, but it's really splitting hairs whether or not it's necessary with the PPC Stage 1.
