Whine, Buzz or just a high pitch tone I think we are onto something here. I have been trying to isolate the source but just can't. Last night I parked in my garage, unloaded the CD changer so it would be empty and made sure all switches were off, including ACC control, light switches, radio, alarm was not set, etc.
This morning the noise was present, I swear I could hear it through the CV top before opening the door. Once I was in and the door was closed interior lights off I inserted the key into ignition and the noise stopped, I removed key.. noise returned, inserted key it stopped and did not return til the car was started then it stopped after a few moments.
I thought I had read here some time ago that after the car was turned off and parked it took about 30 minutes for all systems to power down. Clearly something is not powering down and placing a drain on the electrical system/battery.
It may not be a problem at all and I hope it isn't, it just doesn't seem right. Hope some others can shed some light on this.
