You'll have to search the 9-5 or Performance board to try and dig it up, but only BSR PPC-related thing I recall was someone with a 9-5 said they got massive pinging with the PPC-tuned engine. I think they said they heard it for the first time while passing a tractor trailer since the sound reverberated. I think they even said they had the mixture tested and it was running way too lean. Keep in mind this is for a different model Saab and a different engine management system, and has no parallel to the 2003+ 9-3 2.0 I4 and 2.8 V6 engine management systems. You really have to read the threads because some people use PPC as a generic term when in fact it refers to a specific software upgrade offered by BSR.
I have run the PPC in a 2003 9-3 Arc 6 speed with the 2.0T engine for several years and I have not experienced any ill effects. I believe Mike L. had posted a picture in the 9-3 forum of someone with a 'chipped' 2.0t (low pressure) 9-3 with internal engine damage- a cracked piston or something along those lines. I don't believe the brand of upgrade was posted or any other particulars. Since the 9-3 2.0t was originally a 175 hp engine the person might have gone higher than Stage I, might have been constantly beating/racing it, there could have been other things wrong with the drivetrain, or some combination of factors.
