and I have been flying for 17 years and have not encountered a plane that had a control yoke that was shaped like, or felt like this "thing" sometimes the marketing folks at Saab get a little too enamored with these analogies between aircraft parts and a car. The shiny silver plastic on the Aero wheel does not make it a airplane like feature, it makes it into a lousy automobile steering wheel. As much as I appreciate occasional use of the night panel feature in the car, a similar condition in the airplane is known as"partial panel failure" and is not at all desirable.Colors, intensities, and light configuration are all important features of aircraft panel lighting, but not having the lights on is not a part of the equation. saab seems to be trying to conecct a dotted line to their long since lost connection to the aircraft business. The tacky and chintzt interiors have driven me to a new BMW 335Xi to be delivered shortly. If Saab keeps defending the need for a center mounted key between the seats when the ignition key has already become obsolete, they will stray further from contemporary auto design.
